Award of Merit Criteria
The choice is entirely up to the director, however, the decision should be based on the following guidelines:
1. The individual is an example of (or approximates) the ‘ideal instructor’.
2. He/she consistently exceeds job expectations.
3. An increased number of people entered the sport as a result of that individual’s effort. (i.e., # of repeat requests for instructor)
4. The individual has contributed substantially to the school and/or sport. (i.e., # of hours taught, # of lessons, etc.)
5. Contribution to coaching, snowboarding, and disabled skiing could be given, however the candidate must be a C.S.I.A. member.
